Danbury High School AFJROTC
Air Force Junior Reserve Office Training Corps (AFJROTC) is a citizenship program for high school students. The objectives of AFJROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, health & wellness, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals. AFJROTC encourages its students to get involved in their local communities to produce well-informed and helpful citizens. Some past opportunities include Food Distribution and a red cross blood drive. To enhance classroom learning, students participate in extracurricular and social activities such as field trips, drill teams, Color Guard, model rocketry, and evening functions. All students get the opportunity to participate in annual formal functions such as the Military Awards Banquet, Military Ball, and Dining-in to build an inclusive family! AFJROTC is open to all Danbury High School students in grades 9 through 12.
